How often do you park beside another Tacoma….

So I'm leaving the Natatorium after lap swim today and noticed this nice CharcoalGray gen2 parked beside me. Blacked out wheels, rear chrome bumber, and a nice bed cover.

Pulled up beside a nice Red gen2 SR5 today. Nice chrome bumper and running boards. Don't recognize the rims though. Aftermarket maybe….

Niiiiiiice. That Toyota pickup truck is in mint condition. I'd say it's a 1990/91/92/93 judging by the headlights. But who knows.
All I can tell

Best guess would be a 1989. My buddy had a v6 manual that looked very similar.

Is this a Unicorn find or not ? When Toyota released their step-side pickup truck in 2001 I really didn't appreciate it until recently. There are no more step-side pickups anymore and I would love to know the back story of this one. Was this the only year Toyota made a Tacoma step-side ? Just look at the steps built into the frame., i.e., running boards. You can actually stand on either side of those gorgeous fenders on the OUTSIDE of the bed. So freaking cool.

Looks better than a tundra stepside
LMAO
I saw a tundra stepside somewhere in the south recently and just started shaking my head
And it was silver also

I didn't see the gen1 step side tundra here till either 2002 or 03. Reminded me of gramps old chevy farm truck. I don't think the step side was available yet in 2001.

Pulled in to a 7-11 today and spotted this SuperWhite gen3 SR extended cab with steel wheels. A swimming pool, service and remodel company. Another classic, working mans pickup truck. I love it.

So today I was at the Mall (again for another slice of that delicious pizza) when I spotted this gen1 2WD extended cab. It looks like a very faded purple exterior which is unusual. You can tell he's been rode hard and put up wet. And it's a 5-speed stick-shift ;)

Okay this is the 1st gen double cab SR5 Off-Road here at work I eluded to a couple weeks ago! Finally was able to get a couple pics because there were no cars parked on the driver side of it! It's a good thing I snapped these pics when I did because a few minutes later a Jeep parked right next to it! Don't know how it's considered an SR5 when it's an AT truck! Maybe Jay or somebody can chime in on that??!!

Thats a rare bird, First double cab gen1 tacoma I've seen.Their all single cabs, or extended cabs around here.

Thanks! I think it may belong to one of the truck drivers or something because I noticed it seems like it's parked in the same spot for several days or so, then it's gone for a few days or so! Every time I see it there's always other vehicles parked on both sides of it! I noticed it was parked there this morning when I was backing my Taco into a parking space and there was nothing parked on the driver side of it so I said sh*t I'll take whatever I can get and got out of my Taco and went over and snapped a couple quick pics of it! Maybe tomorrow the big bad obs F350 on the other side will be gone and maybe I can get a couple pics of the other side! Lol!

A few minutes after I took those pics I noticed a 4 door Jeep Wrangler had parked in the spot on the driver side of it so it's a good thing I snapped them when I did!
