Thank you - the only thing I added were the AVS rain guards. You were banned? What's up with that? ! Jeez - you seem like a good guy. Good choice by your son. That dark blue color must be nice, again kind of rare around here. I remember that Tacoma I looked at in 2018 had risen in price about $1,000 I think, I asked the dealer why and it was because several customers were trying to out bid each other!

The MT is getting more and more finicky and I am no longer certain I will be able to push it to the intended goal of 333k or 1/3rd million miles before replacing parts... I may have to settle for 311k LMAO

Nice! I guess I have a gen 2 version of what you have - do you have the 2.7L? How many clutches have you gone through? Sorry to hear the transmission is starting to act up. Still, 331k is nothing to sneeze at!

Lol, thanks. Over half the users on tacomaforum.com got banned from TacomaWorld.com for the most stupidest reasons. Mostly political opinions (I addressed biden as "let's go brandon"). If ya really wanna see the histry, go back to "General Tacoma Discussion" and scroll down to "Have you ever seved a 30-Day Lock-Up at TacomaWorld ? And if so, Why ?" and you will understand…..

Wow! What a pretty state with the most smoothest and quiet of roads for the most part
But even the bumpy half broken ones are still a soft ride on the oldasdirt truck

Why in the hale can Iowa et all not have this kind of paving technology

I recall years ago when for work I'd occasionally go to Burlington Vermont. A very nice ride, especially on Rt.89 west. Once you got to a certain point, the distance was marked in kilometers, rather than miles. I think also no advertising billboards.
 
I use to have some sponsorship from husquvarna through dirt work cycles in Bennington when I raced the netra hare scrambles series. Quaint little town.

I have one of their chainsaws! And a wood stove - one of the reasons I need a truck - last week cut up a downed tree in someone's yard. In 2 trips hauled it home. I was initially concerned how the load would be with the 4 cylinder. The truck did fine, up slight hills just kept it in 3rd (5MT). I was surprised, it almost like the load wasn't even there except for slight ride and handling differences.

Now we're talking. Good looking firewood. Are you sure that's a Tacoma ? I've never seen a cubby hole in hte bed that high before. Bed extenders are cumbersome and take up space in the bed when they're not extended. When I bought my 2020 Sport the salesman was making such a big deal about mine so I told him I'll sell him mine for a hundred bucks. He declined. I put it on FB and craigslist and couldn't find a buyer. Ended up throwing it away.

Cubby hole? Ya lost me there. Yeah re: the bed extenders - I'd only consider one that could be unclipped and removed when not in use. IF I was to ever get one, I'd have to rig up a way to keep it tied upright to allow wood be loaded underneath, then when it's time for wood to go on the tailgate, move it down. Otherwise, the rounds would have to be lifted above the bed extender, not a good situation.

There's a cubby hole on the left side of your bed. Most folks use cubby holes for storage.

Ya know I never noticed it. I was curious and saw that there's one on the other side too. I have some down low near the tailgate with covers. A Tacoma for sure - maybe mine is a unique one! A different load below from my son's yard.

I've currently got a Husqvarna lawn tractor if that counts for anything. Its only in name.
Actually the race bikes were made with the husquvarna name by cagiva of Italy back in the late 80's when in raced them . I think the husqvarna motorcycle line is now owned by Ktm.

I'd say it does. I have a couple chainsaws, was hesitant but I invested in a decent battery powered 16". I've had bad luck with 2-stroke engines when they get old. For brief cuts the battery saw is pretty good.

Yes brand names sometimes just mean so much - my Craftsman lawn tractor is almost identical to my older Murray, both I believe built by MTD. That company I think also build's Tractor Supply's Husky lawn tractors.

Re: the Tacoma's size vs. a full size truck - yes you sacrifice load capacity, but if used as a daily driver as mine is the positive tradeoff is easier maneuverability and better fuel economy (sort of).
 
I've had a stihl 16'' 025 chainsaw since the early 90's thats probably had more time on it than my 2020 taco. Except of a couple new 16'' bars, and countless new chains, and sharpening's, its still running. I recently had to install a new chinese manufactured carb on it, along with a fuel line, and some tuneup components. I wish it'd just blowup completely so I could buy something new. If replacement parts were't so inexpensive, I would have had a new saw by now.
