New nuts as well

Why they not coated better on the line BEHOOVEs i
 
Whatever works you've got on hand. I prefer bel-ray waterproof grease, just cause I have tubs of it hanging around.
 
I have to put topcoat on tomorrow, weather permitting
The reformer needs a 24 to cure
 
I painted my smaller garden tool shed with rustoleum sunrise red years ago. I gotta go with a darker less in your face red the next time around. Red especially looks way outta place on a vehicles chassis thats black....unless in east LA...then even purple, and green with gold leaf would be very acceptable.

I coated my 2020 engines splash pan with cosmoline over 5 years ago....it hasn't a spec of rust anywhere on it yet. Thats good stuff. Doesn't hurt to coat the mounting bolt threads with some never seize either.
 
Seems these shields are only good for collecting mud, and other debris getting stuck in them. I don't have a separate transmission/transfer case shield on my gen3, just the engine splash shield I hose off every time when doing an oil change. If I didn't cosmoline it real good, it'd be all rusty by now.
