Then you should have witness names that can vouch he didn't back up into anyone causing that issue? People today can be dirt bags, believe me. I once had a lady that ran a stop sign while fighting with here kids in the back seat, and hit me broad side, then tried to tell the cops i caused the accident. The cops didn't buy it, neither did her insurance company. No injuries so he said Illinois law does not require police involvement and waiting 2 to 4 hours for law enforcement to show up
How is he not at fault since everybody stopped and backed up at a stop light
I thought for sure the driver behind him was the one that rear-ended him and pushed him forward but not the case
The other driver behind him did get out of their vehicle to check it out and then drove off!

Yeah, she actually told the police writing down the report I hit her. I told the officer she blew the stop sign then plowed into me at the middle of the intersection. He agreed after seeing where she entered the intersection from my left, saying I also had the right away. Even her insurance verified what the cops gave them on the report. When I looked at her car being loaded on a flat bed, it was banged up everywhere. She had been in multiple accidents before mine.did that lady accuse you of causing the incident right there in front of you?
Back to my original comment.
Let the other guy be responsible for the costs. His insurance premiums are not your problem or concern.
I'd call them first. I know you have a cell phone because you use it to take the pics of your odo when rolling at 70 mph.its only a 500 mile wheel to their Illinois office location
Well I can recalled decades ago when the wife had a honda civic, and another vehicle side swiped her mirror off while putting some light scratches on the front fender that could be easily rubbed out of the clear coat. She took the car to the honda dealer where they charged the insurance company over 3 grand to fix the mirror, and repaint the entire side of the car. Its no wonder why insurance premiums keep rising.dear sir, my concern is getting this tacoma truck properly and thoroughly repaired like it never even happened
insurance companies are known for ripping your a$$ wide open right up the middle for their benefit and theirs alone
and i am not at all interested in playing those games of phuckery here in this situation... not one bit am i
I have a friend of mine that runs an independent body shop, his work quality is fair, but reasonable, and his yard is always full of damaged vehicles waiting to get new parts. I brought my vehicle to him, but kind of wished I didn't. It took me 3 trips back after he said it was finished. Thats been my only auto accident I've been involved in so far with over well 50 years driving.i have not had much success dealing with auto body shops in the past 20+ years
the first was over 20 years ago when someone from Colorado slammed into me whilst driving the Corolla
the driver door had to be re-skinned at the Toyota dealership body shop
~15 years later the door rott began to peek and the toyota body shop was not around anymore to fix it under warranty
15 years ago i had to get the front passenger fender scrape repaired at a highly-touted local body shop
10 years later i had to remove the arch mouldings and mudflap
i then found the bolts for those two items messed up re-installed the improper way, very sketchy slop
and there is even more...
