How often do you park beside another Tacoma….

What?? You got something against skewps? :p
I've thought about adding a Sport hood to my Off-Road... I've always liked them on the Tacos, ever since the Toyota Pickups with the turbocharged engines back in the 80's.

Damn... Now you set me off on a quest. A little backstory, in the 1980's, Atlanta Toyota advertised late at night on a couple of Atlanta TV stations. They mostly advertised Toyota Pickups, and their special was called the Atlanta Toyota ThunderTruck. You could get their sport truck package on any of the rear-drive pickups. They looked rather nice, and had a sweet lightning bolt graphic on both sides, starting from the back of the bed continuing through to the front of the door. They advertised several in the 85-86 time frame with the skewps and Xtracab. I wanted one soooo bad, but not yet being 18, I would have had to have my dad make the purchase for me. We are originally from Detroit, so if it wasn't from the Big 3, it wasn't going to be parked in the driveway.

Now, on to my quest! I would LOVE to find one of these Atlanta Toyota ThunderTrucks with the turbo and Xtracab!

That would be interesting to see. If you don't find one you could always find a TRD Sport hood at your local junkyard then paint it to match the color of your pickup.

Arrived at work this morning and saw this really nice 3rd gen sitting there begging me to take it's picture! Lol! Like I said before when I'm not really looking for any Tacos that's generally when I see one! It's not the trifecta that TexasBigBlue gets but really nice!

Will also add that I saw the guy getting in it later and he definitely looked like a millennial! So it's definitely not a "grandpa truck" like that one stupid bitch said!

Drove through Lewisville on my way home from a doctors appointment today and spotted this sweet CharcoalGray gen3 Limited at Burlington Coat Factory. Has a retractable bed cover and those beautiful polished aluminum wheels you can only get with a Limited. Not sure what the letter "H" on the hitch receiver represents.

Nice looking 3rd gen there! My dumbphone won't let me blow up the picture so I can see that letter H on the receiver hitch you're talking about! I guess I'll have to pull it up on my laptop so I can see it better. Does it look like it's for a Sports Team or something?? I know people put various hitch covers on them to show their support for their favorite sports team etc.!

Looks like a tight squeeze and they have a foot to go for that curb to use
I would not be able to fit! And would have to wait for the driver to come and move it!
But I have run into that situation before and it was tricky to reach through passenger side release park brake put stick in neutral and push truck back far enough to get the driver door open wide enough to climb in

I agree they did have more room hence the end stall…I fit in when I got in but barely. All good. No dings and no worries

So jelly of y'all! Especially Tex!! But, I think he just has seriously mad photoshop skills, as he parks next 8 or 9 a day. The only time I get to park next to another Taco is at the range. Maybe that is fate telling that I need to go the range more.

Although, I do see hundreds each day while driving. Maybe I need to get a dashcam and start a new thread about Tacos on the road.

Tex also is located relatively close to Toyota North America HQ in Plano, which may or may not be a factor in the # of taco spottings

Now that would be pretty neat.

Same here. I see a lot of them driving down the road, just kinda hard to take pictures while driving! I would follow them to where they're going to take pictures, but I then I'd probably get in trouble for stalking! Lol!

I've read they muck up line of sight sometimes for the shorties
That is hilarious........ Deserves the Brown BS flag.

The scoop is no taller than the instrument cluster. If you can't see over the scoop, then you can't see over the dash. Therefore, you a too young to be driving.

That is correct Jay. Plano is a 20 minute drive from me and Toyota's Head Quarters is freaking huge. For whatever reason I don't get out that way to often. There are just so many Tacomas on the Denton County roads and parking lots there's no reason to venture out further. Unless I'm on a road trip to Colorado, Nebrska, or Mississippi (my folks live in Biloxi).
