Or better yet, instead of taking those remaining qts back...use the entire 11-12 qts making sure your transmission is full to the top till it overflows. That way it won't take long before you need a new transmission.
 
I could only find 2 grease zerks on this single cab prop shaft

Is that all there is??

But my 97 truck has zerks also buried deep within the ujoints in addition
 
yes 2pc, it has a carrier bearing with 3 grease zerks, one of them is very buried inside
 
Assuming a 4WD....there will be 2 more on the front prop shaft for a total of 5.

Some U-joints have the zerk on the spider (very buried inside). Or when replacing you can get U-joints with the zerk on the cap. Easy access.
 
It took 5 to 7 hand pumps on the grease gun before I heard the crack from the old pop
Those 2 must've been a bit low in the grease
 
am still not clear on what this is and what to torque

  • Driveshaft Flange Yoke
 
Assuming you are on the rear end of the prop shaft.

The flange yoke mates with the flange on the input shaft of the rear differential. The items that need to be torqued are the 4 bolts holding the 2 flanges together.

You will understand when you disassemble it.

Depends, some dealers don't. Most oil change places don't either.
When I had toyota care for my first 2 oil changes, they never replaced that original grey washer with a blue one...I haven't had to either.
