2022 Tacoma, TDR Sport, 4dr, 6' bed, 4x4.
My pickup choices have been Toyota, Chevy, GMC, Ford and Dodge. Of five Toyota's, today I drive my 3rd Tacoma. You probably realize I believe Toyota is the better investment for work and get-about transportation. This forum spot is about ownership I must add an additional experience. Albuquerque NM, June 2010, I drove a new Diesel v6, Sprinter van, Freightliner 2500, off the lot. The out the door price including base price, tax, license, dealers prep was $42K. My owners expenses looks like this: self oil changes $1000, paid mechanical repair issues $3500, two sets of tires $1600 and a bunch of personal addon $$ accessories. After 87K miles and thirteen years of faithful service my Sprinter investment sold for $22K cash to another happy investor.
With 350 mile on odo we drove to Florida, up the east coast and back to Arizona. The odo is sitting at 10,600 miles. Happy with most aspects of this 2022 Tacoma. Wish list: A pillar grab handles or over head grab handles on both sides. The tailgate is way too heavy. An unreasonable amount of noise coming from the engine compartment. Again and unreasonable amount of noise coming from the rollup window channels. Radio system is not GPS adaptable.
