What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Just returned from an errand with the truck. Along the way up a city street with traffic lights every block, I pull up to this red traffic light that has a gen2 blue tacoma in the other lane next to me revving his loud ratty sounding 4 cylinder...I peek over and it's a young kid wanting to run my truck to the next light. Light turned green, I never saw him.
I've had similar encounters.

I'll slip the truck into 4H before the "GO". Otherwise, the 4.0L V-6 will just burn rear tires.

I've got a stop and shop and shop grocery Go card that gives me points toward grocery purchase's or shell gas savings. I got 60 cents a gallon off on my fillup yesterday. Instead of paying $3.80 a gallon for 87, it was $3.20.
Ah sorry, wrong. Everything you bought there you paid a little more for so you could "save" at the pump. Businesses don't give you anything for free.

No kidding, I know that, I can go over to Aldi's and buy a dozen large eggs for half what stop and shop charges. You need to pay attention to the deals when they have them at stop and shop to really save any money, but at any rate getting a few bucks back now, and then is better than nothing.

wheeled it thru the great smoky mountains park
There were a bunch of pretty green trees and cool crisp mountain air :)
Brakes may or may not have overheated because a noticeable shudder occurred later in the afternoon whilst braking ...will see how they act tomorrow as I continue to wheel south thru Atlanta for the first time in ever

Hauled some yard waste to the city's yard waste dump. Then loaded some junk to make a partial load for the landfill. Time to purge a load of misc crap again. Scrap wood, rusted exhaust system, electric service entrance and breaker panel......

I'm sure there are other "collections" that could share the ride to the landfill. Just need the LOML to let go..... she is becoming a pack rat.

So I dropped off my Tacoma this morning at the dealership for a complete brake job. $225 for the front axle and $147 for the rear axle (flush, cleaning, and adjustment). Not bad for a guy that doesn't have the knowledge or the resources to do it his dam self.

Doing front brakes on these trucks is easier than changing your oil. These trucks never seem to need a rear brake job unless heavy trailering all the time. Changing the differential fluid is childs play, a 15 minute job.
