a new chapter begins... the road to 400k

That gear oil looks mint, you must not go 4wheeling very much.

i thot it was dirty compared to the golden stuff i put into fresh

that gear oil saw MUCH 4 wheeling out in Wyoming Colorado and Montana back in Jan-February taco adventures after the blizzard event!

Does not look kosher
Was this linkage undone not torque to spec?

It's moog junk

Took nearly 30 minutes to get new OEM grease cap on secure
Don't know why it didn't gently go on tapping around the edges with the mallet

Looks ready to get wheels back on and off the stands after a 15 day period down

Did you ever replace, or at least check that needle bearing in the axle while you had it apart? You'd need a special tool to remove it, as it's tapped in there. Its pretty common they fail.

Was I supposed to check that inside the fill or drain plug?
I don't know anything about any of that :(

Checked torque on diff drain plug
Oddly enough the hand tight plus a German movement on the ratchet was to spec

time to go see if the buggard is gonna start right on up
and wheel it on out there into the wild to catch that next palindrome
